Canton Paradise (revisited)

Yeyyy I got some vouchers when I first came to here. And finally I got a chance to revisit this famous Chinese Restaurant. Okay so, if you haven't read my first review about this restaurant, here is it : Canton Paradise. I don't wanna say a lot, let's check their food! Here you go :

Crispy BBQ Honey Pork Bun (29k). 3 pcs of heavenly delish BBQ pork bun. I really love the filling: the BBQ honey pork filling was so good and also generous. The only bad thing is; it was overcooked on the bottom side of the bun. I don't really care actually, the pork bun is still has great taste and become the best pork bun so far :)

 

Crispy-fried Tofu with Fermented Beancurd (39k). I ordered this for appetizer, just so you know I was confused what appetizer to order because on the menu they were all so mouth-watering and finally I got to choose this. Luckily, my choice didn't disappoint me. The tofu was fried soo crispy and it was nice, and not oily. Such a nice opening!

 

Canton Crispy BBQ Pork (69k). Well, I'd like to tell you a little story about this. When I looked at the pork selections, I found this was so tempting. When it came to my table, it was a little bit different. And I just realized it was crispy-fried FAT PORK! Geez.. I was quite surprised and yeahh I thought it's such an unhealthy dish hahaha. But after tried it, I must say it was a BOMB! SO SO GOOD. Yes, fat pork is so good. Crispy fried- after you bite it, the oil is melting in your mouth. Feel the sensation! After finished it I felt so sinful LOL. Do you wanna try some? ;)

Crackling Pork Belly (79k). AAA I love this so much!!! I just couldn't resist to eat this! As you can see on the photo, the crispy pork belly was so attractive. The pork skin was roasted crispy and I found it's super delish. The texture was juicy and tender. Don't forget to dip the pork belly with the special sauce. SO YUM. Thanks for making my tummy happy today, pork :P See you again later!

Signature Canton Jumbo Prawn Wanton Noodle - Soup (69k). FYI, for noodle selections, you can choose between soup or dry one. This time, I chose the soup one, and this noodle dish is Canton Paradise's signature. Well, I like the noodle broth, it was so rich flavorful yet tasty. The jumbo prawn wanton was also nice- add the chilli oil to make it more delicious. And the important thing; the noodle was so thin. I really love the noodle texture, it reminds me of Hongkong's noodle. Well done! I'm lovin it :9

Overall, my second visit to here was much better. And yeah, I finally found that they're actually a good Chinese Restaurant, maybe my first bad visit was just not my lucky day at that time. I found all the dished I ordered today were all great, especially porkies hihihi. The service was also fast and friendly. About the price, it maybe pricey but it's very worth and reasonable tho. The classy and classic interior reflect nice ambiance which maked me comfort to enjoy my lunch with my family. I have to conclude that Canton Paradise is a must-visit lovely family restaurant which offers wide-variety of great Chinese food. They should open new branch soon! I'm waiting for it ;)

Paradise Dynasty

Another Chinese Restaurant, member of Boga Group; Paradise Dynasty. From its logo, you can see the Xiao Long Bao icon, and I'm going to try their Xiao Long Bao, to prove their tagline! I decided to pay a visit to their first branch at Plaza Senayan. Let's go to the foood :

 

Steamed Shanghai Dumpling (45k). 6pcs of pork Xiao Long Bao. XLB is one of my favorite dimsum and a must-order dish when I'm craving for dimsum. And at Paradise Dynasty, I guarantee that you absolutely can find a super delicious pork XLB!!! The pork broth filling was so so tasty. And it makes you ADDICTED. I could say this is the best XLB in town. Prove them by yourself! :9

 

Poached Chicken in Szechuan Style (55k). Poached chicken served with chilli oil in Szechuan style. This is the first dish which came to my table. So I had to wait for the white rice and other dish. Unfortunately, the poached chicken wasn't hot anymore. Well, basically it's a common steamed chicken and covered with 'not spicy' chilli oil. It was just okay for my taste.

 

Deep-fried Diced Chicken in Szechuan Style (72k). Two words to describe this dish : delicious and spicy. I like this chicken so much! Even though it's a little bit spicy for my tounge, but it's good to eat this with warm white rice. And if you're a fan of spicy dish, this chicken could be also your snack. The chicken was delish, not oily at all and easy to eat since it's bite-sized. Nice eh!

 

Sauteed Kailan with Minced Garlic (58k). Everywhere I order kailan at Chinese Restaurant, they rarely to cut the stems. Okay so I couldn't eat this, until I called the waitress and ask them to give me a knife. After trying to cut them, one of the waiter came to my table and offer help to cut them with vegetable scissors. Thank God I managed to eat them hahaha. I couldn't find something special with this vegetable dish. It was just okay. For the price, it may be pricey and I think you'd better to order meat or poultry dish.

Overall, I couldn't find something really special with their main-dishes, maybe because I didn't order their specialities. But I love the XLB so damn much! I must say it's the best XLB so far I could find in Jakarta. For the price, it maybe quite pricey, but I think it's reasonable since you can get delicious dishes with authentic yet classy Chinese interior and great location. The service was great and friendly tho. I recommend this Chinese Restaurant to everyone who wants to taste the Legend of XLB!

Paradise Inn

They're such nice Chinese lamps, aren't they? I beg you could notice what Chinese Restaurant is this. Paradise Inn. I often go to here for having lunch/ dinner with my beloved family. Good food with good price and good place, make me happy to come back here. Just so you know, Paradise Inn is one of the famous Boga Group Restaurants. Okay so let's go to the food :

Imperial Pork Ribs (S 55k). I ordered the small portion. My fav pork dish at Paradise Inn. The pork ribs were juicy and tender, and definitely delicious. It's just really nice to enjoy the pork ribs with warm white rice.

Hot Plate Tofu with Preserved Cai Xin and Minced Pork (S 48k). Another fav dish of mine at Paradise Inn. The tofu is very soft and smooth, morever served with the special sauce, it makes the tofu more delish! FYI, the tofu are special hand-made by Paradise Inn. So it has no doubt the tofu is so nice. Anyway, on the special sauce, there're also preserved cai xin and minced pork.

Bang Bang Chicken with Honey and Young Ginger (S 58k). I didn't really taste the ginger, but the honey taste a little bit stronger. Me likey this dish! The bang bang chicken tastes great. But unfortunately, the chicken is oily. Don't care, I drank the 'delish & healthy tea'. Scroll-down. Keep reading!

Thai Style Sauteed Baby Kai Lan with Salted Fish (58k). This vegetable dish is very unique. You can taste the sour, salty, and sweet taste in your mouth. I just love this. Really.

Lily Flower, Forget Me Not, Dried Longan and Chrysanthemum (25k). Good news for you! I love this tea so much, it's so flavorful yet tasty. It tastes already pretty sweet. And the tea has benefits : nourishes lungs, reileves cough, detoxifles the body, and has beauty enhancing properties. Delicious and healthy. Need to say more?

Paradise Inn is one of my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Jakarta. And I never get bored to dine in here. The food all are delicious, the place is great with good ambiance. Maybe the price is a little bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. One thing I didn't like is the service, some visits to here I had to wait to call the waiters. Maybe they lack of waiters or hmm at lunch/ dinner time they're full-packed. Understandable. But I went there sometimes at early or late-lunch/dinner. That's the problem. They should improve the service. I think good food is useless if the service isn't good. I hope their service improves time by time. But I never get bored to go to Paradise Inn :)

Coffee Cup by Chérie

A tiny yet beautiful coffee shop named Coffee Cup by Chérie, stole my little heart. I found this hidden gem by buying a voucher from internet. Located at Rukan Permata Senayan, maybe not much people know this beautiful tiny coffee shop. Let me show you first the pretty details of the coffee shop :

Even though the coffee shop is super tiny, but they served great coffee and delicious pastry. Here I'll show you :

Hot Cappuccino (30k). I'm sorry I'm not a coffee addict so I couldn't describe or review it well. For me, this hot cappuccino is such a pretty good cappuccino! Not too strong and well-balanced. FYI, they use the famous "Tanamera Coffee" so the taste has no doubt.

Caramel Macchiatto (35k). Me likey this so much! I didn't add any sugar to this cup of caramel macchiatto, not bitter at all and I could taste the caramel much. The taste is memorable and I will always remember this delicious coffee! I just need one more cup :9

Mocca Cake (30k). The cake is delish, soft and moist. The mocca doesn't taste strong. The cream wasn't overpowerred at all so it's pretty good! The only thing that I missed is the portion is quite small I need one more slice hahaha!

Blueberry Cheesecake (30k). Not a fan of blueberry, but I decided to try it. The blueberries were actually not too sour. The cheesecake was pretty decent. It's such a nice combination between the blueberries and the cheese cake.

Overall, I really had a good time here! Even the coffee shop is super tiny, but I don't care since they serve great coffee and delicious pastry! I think they should make the place bigger or open new outlet at any other area.

I enjoyed my time, my tummy with the good coffee and delish cakes here. FYI, they also serve iced drinks, iced blended drinks, and small bites. I'll come back next time when I pass Senayan area and wanna have a coffee break! See you again.
